This simply means that people thought you could never amount to anything but God showed you his mercy and he helped you achieve something. Everyday, I see people who are not taken seriously or are underestimated. These people are sometimes laughed at or downright looked down upon because fate hasn’t smiled their way. It could be that they’ve made a couple of mistakes along lifes journey or that they haven’t found themselves yet. Sometimes we are the ones doing the underestimating but we are probably worse off and we don’t realize it until they whiz right past us in the race of life. I am not saying we should live our lives for others. We should not compare ourselves to other people either but sometimes just because we do not want to focus on our insecurities, we focus on the insecurities of others and sometimes magnify their wrongdoings to make ourselves feel better. Whatever the case may be, no matter where we are in life remember that we are here because someone important wants us to be here. “Every saint has a past, and every sinner a future.”
